Mega Audi Drag Race: R8 vs RS6 vs RS3 vs S1 vs RS2 vs Ducati 2017

CarWow decided to make a mega audi dragrace, as Mat Walson say this dragrace is for scientific purpose and not for fun.

They took some of the fastest audi car’s in a single track and drageraced them all at once, then the winner is set to a dragrace with a 2017 ducati bike.

Some information about the audi’s participating in this dragrace.

R8

The 2017 Audi R8 V10 is at once cool sophistication, elegant simplicity, masterful engineering and mechanical savagery. Before the R8, the marque from Ingolstadt didn’t have a technological flagship of this nature. RS-badged vehicles were capable and fast, but not quite in this orbit.

Under the bonnet, there’s a 5.2-litre FSI V10 engine, which in the tradition of all recent Audi performance offerings, throws punches with nasty intentions.

RS6

The 2016 Audi RS6 Avant Performance is the world’s fastest sleeper. It also sounds like it’s ready for out-and-out war with its rumbling twin-turbo V8.

Off-the-line acceleration is simply astounding: 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds (two-tenths quicker than the old RS6) and a top speed of 250km/h, which is electronically limited. For what its worth, that’s as quick as the second-generation Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

RS3

Take one look at the RS3, from its large front air intakes to its massive tailpipes, and you know it means serious business. With a 400-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder under the hood, it has the muscle to back up its menacing appearance. Its seven-speed dual-clutch automatic routes torque to all four wheels; we estimate it will hit 60 mph in less than 4.0 seconds. Zero to 60 mph: 3.9 sec Zero to 100 mph: 9.9 sec

S1

Audi S1 is a very special kind of A1. For starters, it swaps the 136kW/250Nm 1.4-litre TSFI engine used in the Sport variant for a turbocharged 2.0-litre firecracker of an engine, which punches out 170kW and a stomping 370Nm of torque.

The specs say it’ll hit 100km/h 5.9 seconds, it feels a lot quicker than that out of the gate.

Under normal driving conditions, it sends 100 per cent of torque to the front wheels, but it can also split it 50:50 between front and rear axles.

 RS2
RS2 was Audi’s first RS model (yes, an estate) and was built with help from Porsche. The 2.2-litre 5cyl was boosted by a single KKK turbocharger, yielding 315bhp at 6500rpm and 302lb ft at 3,000rpm. 0-60mph was over in 5.4secs and flat out it would hit 163mph. For the time these were stellar figures, as quick as a Ferrari 456.It was launched in the UK in summer 1994, costing a hefty £45,705. Only 182 right hand drive versions came to the UK.*If you want to skip direct to race go to min 6:25*
